My 14 yr old son's condition?

my 14 yr old son has just be diagnosed diabetic, i think im asking a really dumb question, but we have a hot tub will he still be able to use it? as i have heard diabetics aren't allowed to use things like foot spas? any advice will be great also what things will he have to change he's a usual teenager junk food etc, staying upstairs on wii, xboxes and msn messenger only taking basic exercise.
